Cheeseburger with mushrooms, onions and a home-made ranch dressing

Ingredients:

  • 750g ground beef mince
  • 3 tablespoons grated onion
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Mature Gouda from Mediterranean Delicacies
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 pound white mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/3 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2-3 tablespoons buttermilk
  • finely chopped dill, parsley, chives and thyme
  • 1/2 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, grated
  • 4 hamburger rolls
Method: Add the vegetable oil to a hot pan and add the beef patties. Let them cook for about 8-10 minutes. During the last two minutes, add the cheese on top of the patties! Meanwhile, melt the butter in another large pan. Add the mushrooms and cook for 12 minutes. At the end, add the onion, season with salt and pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes. Now deglaze the pan with the beef broth and remove it from the heat. To make the Ranch Dressing get a small bowl and combine the sour cream, buttermilk, herbs, lemon juice, hot sauce and garlic. Also add salt and pepper to taste. Put the cheeseburgers on a roll, top with mushrooms onions and the dressing. Add the top bun. Eat. No knife and fork needed!
